Recently I was having coffee on my deck early in the morning. I was enjoying the chirping of the birds and watching squirrels take flight from tree to tree when the reflection of the morning moon in the pond caught my eye. I snapped the photo below and was fascinated how God created water to reflect images. These couple of moments were the catalyst to thinking about images, God, reflections, the human body, and me.
It is said that the human body is made up of 60% water. The Bible says that we are made in His image. Genesis 1:27 says, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." That morning and today, I am wondering how well I reflect the image of God.
Of course, there is no survey or true way to know exactly how well I or any of us reflect His image. But when I think of God's image, I think of grace, mercy, compassion, love, peace, goodness, forgiveness, purity, excellence and so many more beautiful qualities. I can't say I always reflect those attributes. God has a lot more work to do on me.

While He is working I want to offer up this prayer:
Father,
Thank you for who you are, the mighty Creator of the universe. Thank you that You show up all around us and speak to us through your creation and in our hearts. Fill us with your Holy Spirit and equip us to reflect you more and ourselves less. In Jesus' name, Amen.
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing this! It inspires me to be a better ambassador, representative of Him!
