Complexities in her family life collide with a new love who unexpectedly shows up while she struggles to find her place in nursing and in life. Will there be redemption for at least one? Can she learn something from her ancestors who were also nurses during and after the Crimean War in the 1800s?
The daughter of one, Alexandra, emigrates to America. Lauren discovers her story and comes full circle replicating her ancestors’ lives as each tried to find generational relevance and a search for a calling in their lives.
